I took 2 one-on-one self defence sessions with Chris before going travelling; Chris tailored the classes to suit both my circumstances (ie-we did role plays so I could learn to defend myself against the type of eventualities that may occur) as well as taking my size into account (I'm petite, so she showed me how to use this to my advantage and moves that don't rely on strength and size) She broke down the moves, and taught them clearly (and patiently!) It was a great introduction to self defence, and I only regret not having started classes with Chris sooner.

Targeted and creative sessions with Chris helped me prepare for the hockey season andavoid injury (a serious consideration at my age!). Her knowledge meant the sessions were focused on the muscle groups that had grown lazy over the summer and the progression each week was noticeable. Overall fitness outcomes were tangible and I was able to feel confident in having that core hockey strength and speed back in action when I joined my squad training. Chris encourages feedback and uses this to plan sessions which make the hard work enjoyable because you know its going to make a difference!

Chris has been teaching me martial arts both in general and private classes for the past 8 years.
When teaching groups, her enthusiasm for sports is contagious and she gives her best until each student gives his/her best. Chris is determined, without being pushy, and at the end of each class, the students have a feeling of progression and achievement.
In private classes, she provides me with tailored advice and works tirelessly, with her remarkable patients, on specific areas which we both felt required improvement. Chris applies an organised and logical approach to teaching and carefully prepares personalised sessions to suit my specific requirements.
It is worthwhile mentioning that Chris helps me not only with the physical aspects of discipline but also with psychological preparation before competitions and gradings.
She applies her combined experience in martial arts and personal training to make her martial arts classes varied and interesting and to give personal training sessions with a twist.
I feel privileged to have met Chris and it is without hesitation that I would recommended Chris' services to anyone seeking to improve their fitness.
